Flooring Care
What's Involved
Floor Care Process
We’re so glad you’ve decided to invest in one of our concrete coating / polishing services. We know you’ll thoroughly enjoy our product for years to come. Before we come to your residence or commercial property, there are a few things we want you to know to prepare for our arrival. These steps will ensure a smooth and successful process: Â
Clear the Area
Remove all furniture, fixtures, and other items from the area to be polished.
Protect Surrounding Surfaces
Cover any areas or surfaces with protective materials like plastic sheeting or drop cloths.
Communicate with the Contractor
Communicate with the contractor about any specific requirements or concerns you may have regarding the area to be polished.
Clear Access
Ensure that the polishing contractor has clear and unobstructed access to the area to be polished.
Prepare for Dust and Noise
Consider closing windows and doors to minimize dust infiltration into other areas of the building, and wear ear protection if necessary.
Keep Doors Open
Keep the appropriate doors partially open for at least 24 hours after the floor has been finished.
No Walking
Refrain from walking on the floor for a minimum of 36 hours.
Avoid Driving
Avoid driving on the floor for a period of 48 hours.
Keep Clear
Do not return any items to the area until at least 72 hours have passed.
Check for Dryness
Before walking on the floor, check its dryness by lightly touching it with your finger.
Allow Time
Allowing sufficient time for the floor to cure safeguards your investment in its long-term durability and quality.
Easy Maintenance
Your floor is designed for easy maintenance! Sweep off sand and salt, then rinse with water as needed. Using a squeegee can effectively clear water off the surface.
Floor Cleaner
If you prefer, you can use your favorite floor cleaner for added cleaning power. We recommend products like Simple Green, Pine-Sol, CLR, Dawn, or Mineral Spirits. Avoid prolonged exposure to bleach, acids, and highly corrosive substances.
Tough Stains
For tougher stains or dirt buildup, let the cleaner sit on the floor for 5-10 minutes, then scrub with a scrub brush or stiff bristle broom. Follow up with a thorough rinse for a revitalized floor.
Ask Questions
If you're present during the installation, our foreman will review the project with you and address any questions you may have. Please ensure payment is available upon completion to provide to the crew.
